My name is Richard Sierlecki. I am originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since the year of 2001 my partner Don and I lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We started a successful home cleaning business. In my spare time I did color pencil drawings of dogs, cats, rabbits and horses. 2017 found us moving to the Mississippi Gulf coast in the city of long Beach. We retired and all of my time is devoted to acrylic paintings of coastal and monkey subjects, sometimes both together. I collected monkeys of all shapes and sizes from antique stores, that's why I paint them now. My trademark is painting a very small image of a monkey in all of my artwork.
I've found Gallery 782 in Biloxi, Mississippi and my artwork has been displayed there for the past 3 years. I'm privileged to be in the company of many local artists at the gallery co-op. I recently designed the mural on the outside wall of the gallery. With the help of some of the gallery artists the mural was completed in the summer of 2019, and yes, there is a very small image of a monkey in the mural, as well!
