Jewelry has always been a part of who I am. From watching my Mother adorn herself with unique jewelry from different parts of the world to my Grandmother's classic pearls and brooches I have loved jewelry of all kinds. Educated to teach English I always knew I needed a creative outlet to express myself more fully. Self-taught, I began with redesigning pieces for myself as well as for family and friends.
After a career in teaching and publishing I now work with a variety of semi-precious stones and beads as well as pearls, re-purposed vintage watches, pins and chains, and handmade bronze statement pieces. I particularly enjoy hand tying freshwater pearls while adding gems and unique beads with decorative closures which create an unexpected personal look for today and tomorrow.
The connection I have with jewelry reflects the love I have for the beauty of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. My husband and I live in Gulfport where we brought up our family with two sons, Bobby and Jeffrey Carter Jones.
